Information about the care of those over 65, derived from cutting-edge research and best practices, is now available to nurses and other providers in either print format or streaming video, at any time and at no cost, through this series called A New Look at the Old. POGOe affords medical educators access to a wide range of educational products to integrate geriatrics content into your teaching." - requires free registration. Target is primarily for physicians but you may find useful information here.Alzheimer's Disease Management Certificate Program The University of Southern Indiana College of Nursing and Health Professions is offering an online Alzheimer's Certificate Program, an interactive continuing education program that may be completed in six weeks at the participant's convenience. The content is designed for English-speaking nurses, pharmacists, physicians, and other health care providers or caregivers interested in the concepts and practices of Alzheimer's disease assessment and management. The program has six modules and is delivered through the Internet. The objectives and outline are available at the link below. Implementation uses Blackboard, a user-friendly compute education system. Textbook readings and phone contact with faculty are part of the program. Participants will need a computer with Internet access and an email account.
